Come join us on the 23rd of each month for Eucharistic Adoration. The Blessed Sacrament will be on exposition all day and evening beginning immediately after the 8:00 a.m. Mass and continuing until 9:00 p.m. Our monthly day of adoration provides everyone with an opportunity to spend some quiet personal time with our Lord in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.  Jesus is truly, really and subtantially present in the Blessed Sacrament.

During exposition, it is important that there is always someone present in the Church. Please consider signing-up to be with our Lord for a short time.  The sign up sheets are posted near the side exit door of the church.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is an ancient prayer of the Church. Adoration can take place in any church or chapel where the Blessed Sacrament is kept on reserve (in the tabernacle) or exposed (when a Consecrated Host is taken from the tabernacle and placed in a Monstrance which “exposes” the host for all to see). In our church, the Blessed Sacrament is always kept on reserve in our tabernacle, located in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, adjacent to the Sanctuary and visible behind the piano and Cantor station.

Pope John Paul II wrote in his Letter on the 750th Anniversary of the Feast of Corpus Christi, “When remaining in silence before the Blessed Sacrament, it is Christ totally and really present whom we discover, whom we adore, and with whom we are in contact.”

Prayer before the Blessed Sacrament is one way to nourish our spiritual lives. Spending silent time before the Blessed Sacrament to speak with Jesus and to listen to Him (whether in the tabernacle or on exposition) should lead us to act more like Christ in our lives and build His Kingdom on Earth.

Our parish’s Monthly Day of Eucharistic Adoration takes place on the 23rd of each month, except when the 23rd occurs on a Saturday or Sunday due to other Liturgy Celebrations.
