Deacondeaconsteveolmc.netDeacon Steve Mutz has been a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel since 1974. He was ordained a Deacon for the Diocese of Orange in 2003 and has been assigned to OLMC since then. Deacon Steve was raised in West Los Angeles and moved to Orange County in 1972. He and Gloria-Jean were married in 1976 at OLMC. They have two grown children, Stephanie and Jason who were baptized and confirmed at OLMC. Deacon Steve has his own construction business since 1988. Presently, he and Gloria-Jean are responsible for facilitating the marriage preparation workshop; teach Baptismal preparation; training and coordinating Ministers of Holy Communion, as well as a variety of other ministries. Deacon Steve also presides at Baptisms, Vigils, Funerals and Marriage blessings.
